Each year, Dr. Franceschini donates his eye examination fees on World Sight Day - to help the estimated 300 million people who are blind or vision impaired simply because they do not have access to an eye exam and a pair of glasses.
The World Sight Day Challenge is organized by Optometry Giving Sight, which is the only global initiative that specifically targets the prevention of blindness and impaired vision due to “uncorrected refractive error”.
“Who better to ask to support this program than optometrists, their staff and patients who are lucky enough to live in countries where eye care is easily accessible?” said Dr. Joe.“ That’s why we are planning a practice celebration each October. It’s an opportunity for our whole office team to support our International Charity of Choice and we hope that our patients will join us too.”
